Arizona Rep. Debbie Lesko Announces She Will Not Seek Re-Election in 2024

Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) cited a desire to spend more time with family as her reason for not running again.
Lesko announced her decision shortly after a failed vote to elect Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) as Speaker of the House.
Lesko was first elected to Congress in 2018 in a special election.
She represents a solidly Republican district in the Phoenix suburbs.
Her decision comes amid Republican infighting in Congress and frustration with gridlock.
