Overview

  • From September 1, 2025, ARIA’s Top 50 Singles and Albums charts will include only releases from the past two years.
  • Tracks and albums older than two years will be redirected to the newly named ARIA On Repeat chart.
  • A special provision allows titles that haven’t charted in a decade to re-enter the main lists for up to ten weeks if labels show sufficient viral activity.
  • ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd said the reforms follow a year of modelling to align the charts with contemporary listening habits and bolster local talent.
  • The changes take effect after the 2025 ARIA Awards eligibility period so this year’s nominees remain unaffected.
