• Eleonora Gracia, 46, and Elliot James Shaw, 50, were charged June 26 with violating Indonesia’s anti-narcotics laws after authorities say Gracia concealed the drugs in a condom at the airport.
• Prosecutors allege that Gracia passed the half-pound of cocaine to Shaw at a hotel near a Bali beach, exposing both to sentences of up to 12 years in prison if convicted.
• A panel of three judges adjourned the case until July 3, with a verdict expected next month.
• In a recent two-month crackdown, Indonesian authorities arrested 285 suspected traffickers and seized more than half a ton of narcotics nationwide.
