Argentina’s SIDE Opens First Public Recruitment for National Intelligence Corps

The contest establishes anonymous, eliminatory exams, fixed passing thresholds and conditional training as steps to professionalize the intelligence career.

Overview

  • The SIDE published Resolution 941/2026 on Tuesday and opened registration for the Concurso Público de Ingreso 2027, with applications accepted online through November 30.
  • Any Argentine citizen with secondary school complete may apply, must meet statute requirements and supply the specific title or credentials required by the functional profile they choose.
  • Applicants select one of six functional areas—Strategic Analysis; Operations; Cyberintelligence and Technology; Languages and Regional Studies; Counterintelligence and Security; Institutional Support—and the agency will set quotas after the registration window closes.
  • Selection has four eliminatory stages: a digital general exam, physical/psychological/contraintelligence evaluations, a written idoneity test and a tribunal colloquium; written tests are graded anonymously on a 1–10 scale, with a 7 minimum to pass and a five-business-day grade-review window.
  • Admitted trainees take an exclusive Curso Básico de Ingreso, receive a non-remunerative monthly stipend without labor or social security rights, must follow strict confidentiality and disciplinary rules, and final hiring depends on course performance and available vacancies.
