Argentina’s New-Car Registrations Rise 16.9% in October as 2025 Pace Targets 600,000

ACARA said election results late in the month spurred a wave of dealership inquiries and purchases.

  • ACARA reported 51,982 October registrations, up 16.9% year over year but 7.6% below September’s 56,240.
  • Year-to-date sales reached 552,484 units, 55.1% higher than the same period in 2024, and the association projects a finish above 600,000 in 2025.
  • Toyota led October brands with 7,682 units, followed by Volkswagen, Fiat, Ford and Renault.
  • The Toyota Hilux topped models with 2,523 units, ahead of Yaris and Peugeot 208, with Ford Ranger and Fiat Cronos completing the top five.
  • By segment, private cars rose 64%, heavy vehicles 55% and light commercials 34%, while EV sales were led by BYD, then Chevrolet and Volvo.
