Argentina’s Long Weekend Draws 1.69 Million Travelers, $356 Billion in Spending

Tourism officials see the surge as a springboard for the 2025/26 summer.

  • According to CAME, travel rose 21% year over year to 1,694,000 people with total outlays of $355.789 billion, a 34% real increase.
  • The average stay lengthened to 2.3 nights, up 15% from 2024, while daily spend per traveler slipped 3.7% in real terms to $91,317.
  • Destinations reported very high occupancy, including Mar del Plata with 158,000 visitors, Tandil at 100%, Cariló 98%, Pinamar 94% and Iguazú around 90%.
