Argentina’s High-Value Farm Exports Hit Seven-Year Best With $2.4 Billion in Jan–Sep 2025

The Agriculture Secretariat credits policy easing, new markets for a 32% value gain across a basket of 53 premium goods.

  • Official data show the selected 53 agroindustrial products shipped 534,914 tonnes and earned $2,398 million in the first nine months of 2025, with an average export price of $4,482 per tonne.
  • The review focused on items priced above $2,000 per tonne that posted their strongest interannual performance in seven years, recording a 32% rise in value and an 18% rise in volume versus Jan–Sep 2024.
  • Top per‑tonne prices included seeds at $46,366, citrus essential oils at $26,857, orange essential oil at $15,673, boneless fresh or chilled beef at $10,647, jojoba oil at $9,803, and proteins and enzymes at $9,360.
  • Notable year‑on‑year value gains included orange essential oil up 357% ($14.13 million), washed wool up 147% ($3.8 million), jojoba oil up 125% ($4.8 million), vermouth up 85% ($13.5 million), and frozen molluscs up 48% ($537.7 million).
  • The ministry said the products span all regions and highlighted state support through regulatory simplification, lower taxes and export facilitation, including more than 125 market openings.
