Overview
- The government set Friday, November 21, as a non-working day for tourism (Decree 1027/2024) and moved the National Sovereignty Day observance to Monday, November 24, creating a four-day break.
- The Central Bank added November 21 to its non-working calendar, so bank branches are closed on Friday and again on the Monday holiday, with digital channels and ATMs operating normally.
- In Buenos Aires City, hospitals keep only emergency and critical care, CeSACs and CEMAR are closed, schools and public offices have no in-person attention, the civil registry runs a deaths-only guard from 9 to 12, and cemeteries operate 7:30 to 14.
- Public transport runs on special schedules: buses with reduced frequency, subte and Premetro on Saturday-style hours Friday and 8:00–22:00 on Monday, trains on holiday timetables with limited service on Mitre and San Martín due to works, and tolls with weekend peak windows.
- Waste collection operates normally and metered street parking is suspended in CABA, while labor rules distinguish the optional non-working Friday (regular pay if worked) from the Monday holiday (double pay if worked).
