Argentina’s Export Rebound Quickens as Agroindustry Logs Best November in a Decade

Volume gains are driving foreign sales toward $80 billion in 2025 despite lower prices.

  • INDEC estimated November goods exports at US$8,096 million, up 24% year on year, with quantities rising 28% as average prices fell 3%.
  • The Agriculture Ministry reported agroindustrial shipments of 10.09 million tonnes worth US$4,715 million in November, including sharp gains in wheat (+133%), barley (+110%), foresto-industry (+91%) and the soy complex (+75%).
  • From January to November, exports totaled US$79,592 million, a 9.5% annual increase, with volumes up 13.8% to 132.2 million tonnes and average export prices down 3.7%.
  • Export growth remains concentrated in the Pampeana region at roughly 70% of the national total, led by Buenos Aires province with US$28,766 million (36.1%), while Cuyo declined in November and Mendoza underperformed.
  • Household demand weakened in November as the CAC consumption index fell 2.8% year on year and 1.3% month on month, even after supermarket sales rose 1.6% monthly and 2.7% annually in October.
