Argentina’s ANMAT Revokes Four Lab Licenses and Bans Unregistered Cosmetics and an Injectable Antibiotic

Regulators acted after inspections confirmed products and facilities lacked required authorization.

Overview

  • ANMAT formally revoked the sanitary authorizations of Weltrap, Carter Pack, Incaico and Pacemaker for operating without a required director técnico under Law 16.463 and Decree 150/92.
  • Disposición 16/2026 prohibits nationwide the sale and promotion of unregistered gels and base creams from QUIFAM, ECOTIDY, VEPO, ACTIVA LAB and NAMECO after Cosmetovigilancia traced listings on Mercado Libre.
  • All lots of the injectable antibiotic DANFERANE I.V. (trimethoprim + sulfamethoxazole) from P.L. Rivero were banned under Disposición 18/2026 after INAME confirmed no authorized alternate manufacturer in REM and found critical deficiencies during inspection.
  • Disposición 22/2026 ordered the preventive inhibition of LADECE S.A. in Rosario following a Santa Fe inspection that uncovered unauthorized production, missing records and items made in non‑approved areas, with products deemed a potential severe health risk.
  • ANMAT initiated sanitary investigations, immobilizations and market withdrawals, notified provincial authorities and signaled that additional sanctions could follow pending sumario outcomes.
