  • Argentina defeated the Czech Republic 22-12 in the Dubai semifinal to lock in promotion under a format that advances both finalists.
  • Las Yaguaretés finished runners-up after a 12-5 loss to South Africa in the final, having led 5-0 at halftime.
  • They swept the group stage with wins over Samoa (45-0), Poland (22-5) and Colombia (14-0), conceding only five points in pool play.
  • SVNS Division 2 will be contested in Nairobi on Feb. 14–15, Montevideo on Mar. 21–22 and São Paulo on Mar. 28–29, with China, Kenya, Spain and Brazil in the field.
