Overview

• SMN maintains alerts for rain, strong westerly winds and snow in Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego and cordilleran Neuquén, with some wind notices upgraded to orange and gusts that may exceed 120 km/h.
• Snow alerts project 20 to 30 cm of accumulation in high cordillera sectors as the stormy spell continues in parts of Patagonia.
• After Saturday’s downpours, AMBA saw improvement on Sunday with 10–22 °C and a week-ahead forecast that includes a sunny 24 °C on Saturday, October 4.
• An early-week warm pulse brings forecast highs of 30–33 °C in northern and northwestern provinces such as Santiago del Estero, Jujuy, Salta and Catamarca.
• The Oct–Nov–Dec outlook indicates normal to above-normal temperatures across much of the country, with over 55% odds of above-average heat in the center and northeast, wetter chances in the north and drier risk in the west pampeano, Cuyo and northern Patagonia.
