Argentina Supermarkets Roll Out Up to 50% Discounts and Bank-Backed Cashbacks

Major chains supported by bank apps tie rebates and appliance deals to payment methods to ease inflationary pressures.

Overview

  • Coto, Carrefour and Jumbo have launched month-long small appliance sales with discounts of up to 50% and interest-free installment options.
  • Banco Nación’s Modo BNA+ app reinstated a 30% cashback on supermarket and wholesaler purchases every Wednesday (and Fridays at Coto) with a weekly cap of ARS 12,000.
  • Coto and Ualá are offering 25% cashback on all Monday purchases made with Ualá cards, subject to monthly caps of ARS 10,000 for prepaid and ARS 15,000 for credit users.
  • Banco Patagonia delivers 20% rebates on Coto Digital purchases every Thursday (up to ARS 20,000 per account or ARS 40,000 for two accounts) and extends weekend supermarket discounts at Jumbo, Vea, Disco, La Anónima and Carrefour.
  • Retirees get a 15% discount at Coto on Tuesdays and Thursdays upon DNI presentation and Carrefour Maxi spots now offer an uncapped 5% rebate on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays via Mercado Pago.
