Overview
- Provider tariffs will rise in three tranches from October to December, with transport, rehabilitation, home and support services increasing 14%, 10% and 8% (34.53% total) and other services 12%, 8.25% and 7% (29.73% total).
- The update was approved by the Basic Benefits Board that includes Andis, PAMI and the Health Services Superintendency, and financed via an extra budget allocation authorized by Chief of Cabinet Guillermo Francos.
- Disability organizations called the hikes inadequate versus inflation and warned the adjusted amounts would be fully reflected in payments only by March or April 2026, urging implementation of the Emergency in Disability Law.
- Provider representative Daniel Lipani voted against the plan and proposed a 70% increase from October under the emergency framework, a motion that was not adopted.
- A federal judge in Catamarca ordered nationwide reinstatement of suspended non-contributory disability pensions and a halt to new suspensions after more than 110,000 were paused, as the intervened Andis faces a corruption scandal and recent protests included a forced entry into its headquarters.
