Overview
- Voters who mis-mark their choice before depositing the paper can request a fresh ballot, handing the folded, spoiled sheet to table authorities for later submission to the Electoral Justice.
- A single mark per category is required; multiple marks in the same category, added inscriptions or images, damage that obscures intent, or inserting objects can nullify that category or the ballot.
- Contested or ambiguous ballots are labeled as recurridos and sent unopened to the Justicia Nacional Electoral for a final determination on validity.
- Two ballot models will be used: in eight districts that elect deputies and senators voters may select one option per category, while jurisdictions choosing only deputies allow a single overall mark with no cross‑vote.
- Failure to vote can bring fines and administrative limits on official paperwork, and taking photos in the booth can be fined up to ARS 77,000, with the BUP marked using an indelible pen and folded for direct deposit into the urn without an envelope.
