Argentina Sets January Pension Increase, Keeps $70,000 Bonus With New Eligibility Cap

A new decree ties a $70,000 top-up to a cap set at the updated minimum, reshaping who receives full, partial or no bonus.

Overview

  • ANSES applies a 2.47% mobility update in January based on November CPI to pensions and social allocations.
  • The minimum pension is set at $349,299.32 and the maximum at $2,350,453.70 before any extras.
  • The decree confirms a non-remunerative $70,000 bonus paid per beneficiary, with eligibility capped at total income of $419,299.32.
  • Minimum pensioners receive the full bonus, as do PUAM holders, non-contributory pensions and the mothers of seven or more benefit; amounts above the minimum receive a variable top-up until the cap is reached.
  • ANSES Resolution 349/2025 sets the DNI-based calendar: minimum and equivalent benefits pay January 9–22, while higher benefits pay January 23–29.
