Argentina Sets January Pension Increase and 70,000-Peso Monthly Bonus for 2026

February’s adjustment will be set after INDEC reports December inflation.

Overview

  • ANSES confirmed a January mobility update of about 2.5% based on November CPI, which lifts the minimum pension to ARS 349,401.58.
  • A decree guarantees a non‑remunerative bonus of up to ARS 70,000 per month throughout 2026 for low‑income beneficiaries, paid once per benefit without deductions.
  • The bonus is full for those at the minimum and for PUAM holders, non‑contributory pensions for old age or disability, and the pension for mothers of seven or more children.
  • For those above the minimum, the bonus is variable and declines to zero at the new cap of ARS 419,401.58 (minimum plus ARS 70,000), which may exclude some recipients who qualified in December.
  • January payments follow a DNI-based calendar: minimum-benefit pensions from January 9 to 22, higher-benefit pensions from January 23 to 29, and non‑contributory pensions from January 9 to 15.
