Argentina Restores INTA, INASE and INV, Names New Leaders Under Decree 684/2025

The appointments follow Congress’s rejection of the centralizing decrees, reversing midyear restructuring.

Overview

  • Decree 684/2025, signed by Economy Minister Luis Caputo, reinstates INTA, INASE and INV to their previous institutional status.
  • Nicolás Bronzovich is named president of INTA with Carlos Alberto Antonio Vera as vice president as the institute resumes its research and knowledge-transfer functions.
  • Martín Famulari is appointed to lead INASE for a two-year term, restoring the agency’s authority over seed regulation, certification and intellectual property protection.
  • Carlos Raúl Tizio Mayer becomes president of the INV, which again oversees wine quality and origin controls and promotes the vitiviniculture sector in domestic and international markets.
  • The move follows Congress’s August rejection of Decree 462/2025 and extends a broader rollback that included new leadership formalizations at INTI and INPI earlier in September.
