Color alerts point to hazardous travel with disruptions to outdoor plans through the long weekend.

  • Córdoba is forecast to swing from a mostly dry Saturday to strong Sunday storms with 50–80 mm of rain, reduced visibility and slick roads, prompting provincial police to urge cautious driving and warn of possible sudden rises in mountain streams.
  • Mexico’s meteorological agency expects Cold Front No. 19 and its polar air mass to enter on Sunday, driving a strong Norte along Tamaulipas and Veracruz coasts and minimums near −10 °C in the sierras of Chihuahua and Durango.
  • CONAGUA forecasts heavy showers in Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán, with a chance of snow or sleet in high terrain of Sonora, Sinaloa, Durango and Chihuahua, alongside windy conditions across parts of the north and Bajío.
