Overview

  • Resolution 43/2025 was issued in the Boletín Oficial with effect through October 31, 2025, with the option of extension under exceptional circumstances.
  • Aeroparque Jorge Newbery was designated a Level 2, or facilitated, airport in line with IATA and ACI guidance to address recurring congestion.
  • Airport operators must issue pre-season Declarations of Capacity detailing runway, apron and terminal limits along with constraints from security, immigration and customs agencies.
  • The facilitator function, performed by the airport operator, will grant time feasibility approvals, process requests under the ORSNA activity calendar and oversee compliance with an impartial mandate.
  • Airlines must submit requests on schedule, report changes, release unused times and may receive lower priority for noncompliance, with a silence-positive rule in force and permission for secondary slot transfers between carriers.
