Overview
- From September 16, voters can check the definitive padrón at padron.gob.ar using DNI, gender, district and a security code to find their polling place, table and order number.
- The Cámara Nacional Electoral set September 26 as the deadline to report errors or omissions in the published roll, with printing of padrones and designation of table authorities also underway.
- October’s national legislative vote will renew 127 deputies and 24 senators and, for the first time, will use the Boleta Única de Papel, where voters mark one box per category with a pen and deposit the folded ballot without an envelope.
- The government and CNE released interactive BUP simulators on Argentina.gob.ar and simuladorbup.electoral.gob.ar, complemented by official videos to practice the new voting process.
- The Buenos Aires provincial government estimates implementing the BUP for the national election will cost about 150,000 million pesos in the province, roughly double its recent provincial vote, a claim it attributes to printing and training demands.
