Argentina, Peru and Mexico Publish 2026 School Calendars, Detailing Starts, Breaks and Key Non‑Class Days

  • Argentina’s Consejo Federal de Educación issued Resolution CFE No. 508/2025 with province-by-province dates, setting the earliest start on February 18 in Santiago del Estero and March 2 for most jurisdictions, under a 190 effective‑day requirement.
  • Winter recess in Argentina is grouped into three windows—July 6–17, July 13–24, and July 20–31—while most provinces end classes on December 18, with Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Misiones on December 22, La Pampa on December 23, and Formosa on December 17.
  • Peru’s Ministry of Education set a nationwide start for March 16, 2026, and reorganized the year into instructional blocks and ‘weeks of management’ for training and planning, including May 18–22, July 27–August 7, and October 12–16.
  • Peru’s Matrícula Digital enrollment runs January 19–March 6 for more than 2,000 public schools across 20 UGELs in Lima Metropolitana, Callao, Tacna, Arequipa, Moquegua and parts of Lima Provincias.
