- Citizens who skipped the Oct. 26 legislative vote are automatically recorded in the Registro de Infractores administered by the electoral authorities.
- Individuals have until Dec. 25, 2025 to submit a justification at infractores.padron.gob.ar or pay, with confirmed payments reflected to the Justice system within about 48 hours.
- The national fine scale under Article 125 ranges from $50 for a first offense to $500 for five or more, payable via Banco Nación branches or enabled electronic methods.
- Provincial regimes can set higher sanctions, with the City of Buenos Aires at roughly $1,000–$2,000 and Chubut reported at up to $35,000.
- Staying on the registry can block passports, certain certifications and public appointments for up to three years, while valid exemptions require documented proof such as medical certificates, distance constancies or passport stamps.
