Argentina Opens Second 2026 Progresar Call With Staggered Registrations and Published Payment Calendar

The government finalized the convocation to let new applicants enroll online and set payment rules that shape how and when students will receive support.

Overview

  • The Secretaría de Educación formalized the second 2026 Progresar convocatoria by Resolución 485/2026 and opened registrations on Monday, August 10 for the 'Obligatorio' line with later windows for other tracks.
  • Registration windows are staggered: Progresar Obligatorio runs from August 10 to September 4, Progresar Superior and Progresar Enfermería open August 18 and close September 11, and Progresar Trabajo is reported open through November 27.
  • Applications are digital-only through Mi Argentina and require a declared bank account or virtual wallet in the applicant’s name; ANSES will check household income and academic regularity and publish results on the Progresar platform.
  • The Ministry published the August payment calendar with accruals starting August 13 by DNI termination, and set the 2026 monthly benefit at $35,000 with an 80% monthly deposit and 20% retained until beneficiaries submit academic certificates.
  • Students approved in this second call will receive six monthly payments rather than the twelve paid to first-call adjudicados, eligibility generally caps household income at three SMVM and age rules vary by line with specific exceptions for priority groups.
