Argentina Opens Bidding for Stage II of National Road Concessions

Overview

  • The government launched a national and international tender for the Red Federal de Concesiones Stage II covering two corridors: Sur Atlántico Acceso Sur and Pampa.
  • Stage II spans 1,871.8 km in total, with 1,325.15 km in Sur Atlántico Acceso Sur and 546.65 km in the Pampa corridor.
  • The Sur Atlántico Acceso Sur corridor includes the EzeizaCañuelas motorway, the Riccheri access to Ezeiza Airport, the Jorge Newbery link, National Route 3 to Bahía Blanca, segments of RN205, and RN226 from Mar del Plata to Bolívar.
  • The Pampa corridor consists entirely of National Route 5, from Luján km 65–73 and from the Acceso Oeste junction to the RN35 junction in Santa Rosa, totaling 546.65 km.
  • The tender follows the January 6 signing of Stage I contracts and advances the plan to shift operation, maintenance, and investment responsibilities to private concessionaires to strengthen logistics and connectivity.
