Argentina Marks National Immigrant Day as 2022 Census Shows 4.2% Foreign-Born

The commemorative date traces to an 1812 decree, later established as a national observance by Juan Domingo Perón in 1949.

  • Demographics show 51% men and 49% women, with notable communities from Venezuela (161,495), Peru (156,251), Colombia (46,382), Italy (68,169) and Spain (48,492).
