- The government officially removed the long-standing prohibition on bringing specific white goods into Argentina
- Permissible imports include refrigerators, air conditioners, microwaves, electric ovens, freezers, water heaters, boilers, stoves, heaters and extractor hoods
- Travelers may import appliances duty-free up to USD 300 per person by land or river and USD 500 per person by air or maritime routes
- Any value exceeding the personal franchise limits is subject to a 50% tariff on the excess amount
- The move is part of President Javier Milei’s broader deregulation push and will be administered by ARCA with existing compliance checks
