Argentina Launches Stage II Road Tenders After Awarding First Mercosur Corridor Concessions

Bids are due February 6, 2026 under a toll‑funded model that replaces state support.

Overview

  • Resolution 1843/2025 opened an international tender for roughly 1,800–1,871 km covering the Sur–Atlántico–Acceso Sur block (RN 3, 205, 226, A‑005, and the EzeizaCañuelas, Riccheri and Jorge Newbery expressways) and the Pampa block (RN 5 from Luján to Santa Rosa).
  • Offers must be filed on the CONTRAT.AR platform, the contracts will be supervised by Vialidad Nacional, and the scheme will operate without public subsidies.
  • A day earlier, Resolution 80/2025 adjudicated 741 km in Stage I: the Tramo Oriental went to Autovía Construcciones y Servicios (Grupo Cartellone) and the Tramo Conexión to a consortium of Obring, Rovial, Edeca, Pitón and Pietroboni, including the Rosario–Victoria bridge (RN 174).
  • Initial tolls are expected at about ARS 2,000 per booth, rising to the winning offers of ARS 3,563 (Tramo Oriental) and ARS 3,386 (Tramo Conexión) only after works deliver “optimal transitability,” with handover targeted for mid‑December.
  • Awardees may access a BICE fiduciary facility of up to ARS 56,000 million for works, while the prior operator CRUSA maintains a legal claim of about US$300 million and faces government fines reported at roughly ARS 60,000 million.
