Overview
- Decree 366/2025 took effect on October 6, shifting citizenship-by-naturalization from the judiciary to the National Directorate of Migration (DNM) as the sole authority.
- Eligible applicants are foreign citizens aged 18 or older with temporary or permanent residence who meet Law 346 conditions and are physically in Argentina when applying.
- The application runs entirely online through DNM’s RaDEX system, with users registering, uploading documents and tracking their case status digitally.
- Core documents to start include a valid DNI, an updated criminal record certificate from the National Recidivism Registry, a CUIT/CUIL, and proof of occupation or means of living.
- DNM can request further evidence during review, and government materials highlight expected gains in speed, security, transparency and centralized case histories.
