Argentina Implements August Wage Increases and Bonuses for Key Labor Sectors

Government resolutions formalized phased salary increases, non-remunerative payments to mitigate inflation’s impact.

Overview

  • Registered domestic workers received a 1 % wage adjustment for August plus tiered bonuses of ARS 4,000 for up to 12 weekly hours, ARS 6,000 for 12–16 hours and ARS 9,500 for over 16 hours under Resolución 1/2025.
  • Upacp published August wage grids showing hourly rates up to ARS 3,261.68 and monthly salaries up to ARS 412,362.01 for household caretakers pending formal homologation.
  • The UOM paritaria secured a cumulative 7.6 % increase for metalworkers from April through August and a fixed non-remunerative bonus of ARS 25,000 for this month.
  • Construction workers under the UOCRA agreement saw two cumulative 1.1 % raises in July and August and Zone A bonuses ranging from ARS 40,000 to ARS 48,000.
  • The national minimum wage was raised to ARS 322,000 per month (ARS 1,610 per hour) effective August 1 under Resolución 5/2025.
