- Perito Moreno in Santa Cruz registered the country's lowest morning minimum at -13.9°C with 96% humidity while El Calafate and Trelew posted -6.8°C and -6.0°C respectively.
- The coldest readings were concentrated in Patagonia with additional subzero stations in parts of Cuyo, La Pampa and southern Buenos Aires.
- Authorities issued yellow alerts for extreme cold for several provinces to flag health risks to children, older adults and people with chronic illness, and the SMN sets alerts by comparing forecasts to local historical norms.
- The SMN warned conditions will continue to be adverse into Wednesday with new orange and yellow advisories for snow and strong winds in some Andean and southern zones that could disrupt travel and services.
