Argentina Formalizes 29%–35% Increase to Disability Service Rates Retroactive to October 1

Providers warn the staged update leaves unresolved financing gaps.

Overview

  • A joint resolution by the Health Ministry and ANDIS was published in the Official Gazette, signed by Mario Iván Lugones and Alejandro Vilches, and applies retroactively from October 1, 2025.
  • Two tranche schedules run October through December: 14%, 10%, 8% for a cumulative 35.43%, and 12%, 8.25%, 7% for 29.73%, as approved in Acta 431 on October 28.
  • The adjustment applies across the Basic Benefits System, including therapies, transport, school supports, day centers, residences and home care, and preserves a 20% supplement for Patagonia.
  • Funding stems from Administrative Decision 24/2025 reallocating credits to ANDIS during its 180‑day federal intervention under Decree 601/2025, with officials saying the move aims to sustain service continuity.
  • Provider groups call the rise insufficient, cite 45–90 day payment delays and urge activation of the Disability Emergency Law’s roughly 121 billion pesos, as courts order reinstatement of suspended pensions.
