Overview

• On August 1, over 1.2 million registered domestic workers received the second 1% installment of a 3.5% phased wage adjustment negotiated by the CNTCP.
• Non-remunerative reinforcement payments ranging from ARS 4 000 to ARS 9 500 were paid based on weekly hours worked.
• ANSES confirmed eligibility for maternity, Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and pregnancy protection benefits for domestic staff.
• Employers are legally obliged to implement the August wage increase and bonus immediately or risk sanctions for non-compliance.
• A final 1% salary hike is scheduled for September and the CNTCP will reconvene in October to assess further adjustments.
