Overview

• President Javier Milei signed the decree as Security Minister Patricia Bullrich and SIDE chief Sergio Neiffert unveiled the plan in Buenos Aires.
• The CNA will operate within SIDE with members from Security, Defense, Foreign Affairs, Justice, UIF, ARCA, criminal and military intelligence directorates, and National Migrations to tighten coordination on threats and financing.
• The center is empowered to request information from public and private bodies at home and abroad, form specialized committees, and issue directives, protocols, and internal rules.
• A Direction of Operational Planning will oversee immediate actions, enabling swift decisions on entries to Argentina and rapid deployment by the nearest force.
• Leadership appointments remain pending, with the director to be named by the intelligence secretary on the security minister’s proposal and a liaison invited from the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
