Overview
- Friday, Nov. 21 is designated a non-working tourism day at employer discretion, and Monday, Nov. 24 is a mandatory national holiday.
- Under the Labor Contract Law (Article 166), employees who work on the Monday holiday must be paid double, while the Friday tourism day is paid as a normal day if worked.
- The transfer follows Article 6 of Law 27,399, which moves holidays that fall on Thursdays or Fridays to the following Monday.
- Several Buenos Aires Province localities set their own November observances: Nov. 13 in Salliqueló and Arribeños, and Nov. 18 in Monte and Ferré, applying only within those jurisdictions.
- Día de la Tradición on Monday, Nov. 10 is a cultural commemoration rather than a national holiday, so work proceeds normally nationwide.
