Argentina Confirms 2.1% Pension Increase for November as ANSES Keeps $70,000 Bonus and Pays October Adjustments

The hike follows September CPI under Decree 274/2024, lifting the minimum to about $333,150 before the fixed $70,000 supplement.

Overview

  • INDEC reported 2.1% inflation for September, triggering a 2.1% mobility increase in November for pensions and other ANSES benefits.
  • With the new adjustment, the minimum pension is set near $333,150 without the supplement and about $403,150 if the $70,000 bonus is applied; the maximum moves to roughly $2,158,966.
  • ANSES confirmed the $70,000 reinforcement continues, is credited automatically with monthly payments, is paid in full at the minimum and proportionally up to the ceiling, and is not granted to those who exceed that threshold.
  • October payments are under way with a 1.88% update tied to August CPI, and the schedule runs DNI 0–9 for minimum benefits from Oct 8–21 and for higher benefits from Oct 22–28.
  • ANSES clarified that the monthly $70,000 reinforcement is excluded from the December aguinaldo calculation, which is based on the best gross base benefit of the July–December period.
