Overview
- Federal dates set for the rest of 2025 include Sunday, Oct. 12; Friday, Nov. 21 as a tourism non-working day; Monday, Nov. 24 for the moved Día de la Soberanía Nacional; Monday, Dec. 8; and Thursday, Dec. 25.
- Catamarca will observe a provincial inamovible holiday on Monday, Aug. 25 for the province’s Autonomy, closing provincial offices and delivering a three-day weekend locally.
- Buenos Aires localities have added targeted breaks: Merlo will pause on Friday, Aug. 29; Villa Sauze and Beruti will observe Monday, Aug. 25; Hilario Ascasubi (Villarino) will have an asueto on Monday, Sept. 1; Dolores marked its city anniversary on Thursday, Aug. 21.
- The extra August and early-September days off apply only in the affected districts, typically covering public administration and Banco Provincia staff, with private-sector observance defined locally.
- Labor rules differentiate effects: tourism non-working days are optional for private employers and, if worked, pay at the normal rate, whereas work on national holidays is compensated at double pay, including the November long weekend where Friday remains discretionary.
