Argentina Confirms 1.9% September Pension Increase, Extends ARS 70,000 ANSES Bonus

A new decree ties benefits to July inflation while keeping the reinforcement at ARS 70,000 following a presidential veto of a larger hike.

Overview

  • Decree 613/2025, signed by Javier Milei, Guillermo Francos and Sandra Pettovello, formalizes the September adjustment and the continued reinforcement, as published in the Boletín Oficial.
  • ANSES set a DNI‑based payment calendar: minimum pensions are paid 8–19 September, pensions above the minimum 22–26 September, and Non‑Contributory Pensions 8–12 September.
  • Under the mobility rule of Decree 274/2024, benefits rise 1.9% based on INDEC’s July CPI, lifting the minimum to about ARS 320,277.17 and to roughly ARS 390,277 with the bonus.
  • The reinforcement is up to ARS 70,000 per beneficiary, paid in full at the minimum and prorated for higher incomes so the total does not exceed the minimum plus the bonus; those above that threshold are excluded.
  • Separately, Banco Nación will offer pensioners paid through the bank a 5% supermarket reimbursement via BNA + MODO starting in September, capped at ARS 20,000 per month, along with daily 32% TNA on balances up to ARS 500,000.
