Overview
- ANPyN completed the Consejo de Control with Resolución 62/2026 published Wednesday, officially adding Chaco to the council's provincial delegation.
- The council is explicitly consultative and non-binding and will meet every two months while ANPyN retains regulatory and enforcement authority over the concession.
- The Jan de Nul-Servimagnus consortium, which began operating the Hidrovía on September 10, is responsible for dredging, signaling, operation and maintenance under the new concession.
- The council held its first plenary with full sector attendance and reviewed initial operational data, indications of lower logistics costs, investment opportunities for ports and technical and environmental studies that include El Niño contingency planning.
- The Hidrovía links about 60 port terminals and carries roughly 80% of Argentina's exports, so the new oversight forum and early works planning could change export logistics costs, port investment flows and regional shipping timetables.
