Argentina Bans 'Gallinita Orly,' Two Olive Oils and a Supplement Over Fake Sanitary Registrations

The ANMAT acted on INAL and provincial findings that the products carried nonexistent or misattributed RNE/RNPA numbers, making their origin and safety untraceable.

Overview

  • The prohibitions were formalized on October 23 in the Boletín Oficial through Dispositions 7831/2025, 7833/2025 and 7834/2025 signed by ANMAT administrator Nélida Agustina Bisio.
  • The bans cover the entire country, include online platforms, apply to all presentations, lots and expiration dates, and extend to any item using the same false registration numbers.
  • Products affected include the Gallinita Orly wafer-and-sugar candy, Olivos de Arauco and Cumbres Riojanas extra virgin olive oils, and Health Zana’s hydroalcoholic extract of reishi and ashwagandha.
  • Córdoba’s food-control directorate triggered the candy probe during routine monitoring, while INAL and authorities in San Juan, Buenos Aires, Catamarca and La Rioja verified false or misattributed numbers on the olive oils.
  • Authorities advised businesses to halt manufacture and sales and urged consumers not to use the products and to report units to ANMAT at pesquisa@anmat.gob.ar.
