Argentina Auto Output Slumps 29% in November, ADEFA Reports

ADEFA attributes the decline to fewer working days plus plant schedule changes.

Overview

  • Automakers built 37,961 vehicles in November, down 19.6% from October and 29.3% year over year, with 18 working days recorded.
  • Cumulative production reached 464,408 units in January–November, just 0.9% below the same period in 2024.
  • Exports totaled 31,248 units in November, up 5.5% from October but 3.1% lower than a year earlier, bringing the year‑to‑date tally to 260,681 (down 9.5%).
  • Wholesale deliveries to dealers were 35,249 in November, down 21.3% month over month and 12.1% year over year, yet year‑to‑date placements rose 47.9% to 535,270.
  • ADEFA president Rodrigo Pérez Graziano called for lower tax burdens at all government levels, and industry reports say manufacturers are seeking to lift output by about 250,000 units with roughly 15,000 for export.
