- Disposición 24/2025, published on August 22 in the Boletín Oficial, permits regular passenger and cargo service on the Santiago de Chile–Mendoza–Guarulhos route in both directions.
- The resolution was signed by Subsecretaría de Transporte Aéreo chief Hernán Adrián Gómez after favorable intervention from ANAC and the DNTA.
- The approval draws on bilateral frameworks between Argentina and Chile, including the Air Services Agreement and a 2024 memorandum of understanding.
- New authorizations complement services by GOL, Azul and Arajet linking Mendoza with Guarulhos, Rio de Janeiro and Punta Cana, expanding choices for travelers.
- LATAM adds this route to existing Santiago services to Ezeiza, Aeroparque, Córdoba and Mendoza, with a Buenos Aires–Miami–Santiago connection cleared to start in December.
