Overview

  • ATEPSA confirmed the Thursday 28 August measure is postponed but said the Saturday 30 August stoppage remains scheduled in two windows, 13:00–16:00 and 19:00–22:00.
  • Tuesday’s action disrupted operations nationwide, with Aerolíneas Argentinas reporting 178 services affected out of 295 flights (82 cancellations and 96 rescheduled) and more than 15,000 passengers impacted.
  • Authorities reminded operators that air navigation is an essential service with a required minimum of 45% of operations, warning of potential fines or sanctions for noncompliance.
  • Other carriers reported adjustments, including dozens of cancellations and reprogrammed flights at JetSMART, LATAM and Flybondi, contributing to cascading delays across the network.
  • The union cites a 45% salary recomposition demand and alleges wage freezes and dismissals at EANA, and it warned actions could extend into September if negotiations yield no concrete offer.
