Overview

• The regional education office (GREA) will continue implementing Comprehensive Sexuality Education under Regional Ordinance No. 538 despite repeal petitions from parent and civil groups, while keeping dialogue open.
• GREA says the approach has been applied transversally in Arequipa schools since 2017, involving teachers and administrators across subject areas.
• The official ESI model is embedded in the new Currículo Regional Diversificado and is scheduled for public presentation on October 2.
