The April 8 schedule change saw 'Wer weiß denn sowas?' preempted by Germany vs. Scotland, with the quiz show returning to its regular slot on April 9.

Overview

  • 'Wer weiß denn sowas?', one of ARD's flagship quiz shows, was replaced on April 8 by a live broadcast of the UEFA Nations League match between the German and Scottish women's national teams.
  • The decision reflects ARD's strategy to prioritize high-profile live events over regular programming to attract broader viewership.
  • Other regular ARD programs, including 'Brisant' and 'Wissen vor acht,' were also displaced to accommodate the live coverage.
  • The quiz show, hosted by Kai Pflaume with team captains Elton and Bernhard Hoëcker, is set to return to its usual time slot on April 9 with a new episode.
  • This programming adjustment comes during a period of change for ARD, including Elton's announced departure and Hoëcker's earlier suspension for campaign rule violations.
