- On Monday, June 15, Arcom issued a formal notice to CNews after a probe found a "manifest and durable imbalance" in the channel’s expression of currents of thought and opinion.
- Arcom based the decision on a review of 168 hours of CNews programming from March 2025 that analysed 146 popular shows and found repetitive, convergent commentary on security, immigration, Islam, the EU, the judiciary and criticism of specific political actors.
- The regulator applied the Conseil d'État’s February 13, 2024 ruling that broadened pluralism checks to include the diversity of views among all programme participants such as hosts, pundits and guests.
- CNews, owned by Vincent Bolloré, said it will contest the notice with appeals to the Conseil d'État and possibly to European courts, arguing the ruling infringes editorial freedom.
