Archer and Joby Aviation Receive FAA Part 145 Certifications, Advancing Urban Air Mobility

The certifications mark a significant step for both companies towards launching their electric air taxi services in 2025.

Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation have both received Part 145 Repair Station certifications from the FAA, enabling them to perform select maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.
The certifications are seen as a major vote of confidence from the FAA in the companies' commitment to safety and operational standards.
Archer's Midnight and Joby's flagship eVTOL air taxis are designed for quick, sustainable urban travel, with plans to launch commercial operations in 2025.
Archer has partnered with United Airlines and will operate routes out of United hub airports, while Joby plans to operate its air taxis in partnership with Delta Air Lines.
The certifications allow the companies to ensure their aircraft are maintained by authorized experts, adhering to strict FAA safety requirements.
