Overview
- Argentina’s customs agency enacted Resolution 5805/2025, signed by Andrés Edgardo Vázquez and effective upon publication in the Official Gazette.
- Personal imports now register in the Sistema Informático Malvina’s Detailed Declaration Module under the simplified procedure of Resolution 3.628, replacing elements of Resolution 3.172.
- Only goods clearly for personal use may enter under this channel, excluding quantities or characteristics that suggest commercial or industrial intent.
- Transactions remain subject to general import duties and taxes, customs valuation at verification, and applicable prohibitions and interventions by other agencies such as SENASA.
- When electronic registration is not feasible, the interactive OM-2153-A form is available on ARCA’s website in the Forms and Travelers sections, and the Dirección General de Aduanas may refine formal requirements during rollout.
