Aquatica Orlando Launches Illuminate, After-Hours Lantern Festival Running Nov. 8–Jan. 31

The extra-cost event converts the water park into a walk-through experience featuring a new Mini Serengeti Express train.

Aquatica Orlando water park is introducing an after-hour holiday event called Illuminate. It will feature lantern displays and illuminated pathways beginning on Nov. 8 for 42 select nights. (SeaWorld Orlando)

Overview

  • It runs from 6 to 10 p.m. on 42 select nights, and all slides, pools and waterways will be closed during the event.
  • Five themed realms anchor the experience: AquaLuma, Candy Cascade Falls, Enchanted Lagoon, Myst Wood Waters and Rivers of Discovery.
  • Tickets are sold separately with most dates around $30–$32, and introductory offers start at $29.99 with pass member discounts available.
  • Offerings include a Kiwi Santa meet-and-greet, a lantern craft zone with wish releases, s’more stations and exclusive food and drinks.
  • The festival is an add-on to the area’s holiday lineup and will run alongside SeaWorld Orlando’s included Christmas Celebration.
