Aqara Expands Matter Support with 50 New Device Types and Advanced Bridging Features

The smart home company reinforces its open ecosystem strategy with updates to Aqara Home and Matter Controller firmware set to roll out later this month.

Aqara has announced support for over 50 new Matter device types, significantly broadening its smart home platform's interoperability.
The Advanced Matter Bridging feature, previously exclusive to the Aqara Hub M3, will now be available across all Aqara Matter controllers and bridges.
The updates will allow advanced automation features, such as facial recognition triggers and energy usage-based automations, to integrate with third-party platforms like Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home.
Aqara Home version 5.1.9 and Matter Controller firmware version 4.3.5, enabling these new functionalities, are scheduled for release later this month.
